3. I have known Gabby and Mark for years. This is a good choice!

Mark is dedicated, level-headed, smart, and totally serious about this. He is in it for neither the money nor the glory. He is in it for Arizona and the country. He is the real thing.

I talked to him for half an hour about six weeks ago. At the end, he asked if I was interested in contributing to his campaign. He asked for an amount so modest, I was almost embarrassed to say OK, so I asked if I could double it.

Before Gabby was shot, Mark was always content to let her take the limelight, as she was so charismatic. After a few years of her recuperation, I'm sure he is doing this at her urging, though obviously I can't ask him that outright. But I can't think of a better angel on his shoulder while in office. He will do Arizona proud.

John James - a Libertarian - is his opponent. James ran against Senator Debbie Stabenow a couple years ago and lost. So now, he's back, running against Peters. I'm ready to volunteer and do everything I can to help Peters.
