What a great guy. A Liberian immigrant mayor of Helena, Montana running for Senate. Appearing on Rev Al on msnbc right now. He was told to go back to Africa - graffiti on his home I think - and now he's running for Senate.

In his first months of office the annual complaints came in about snow plows and street parking. He actually did ride alongs with the city street crews to understand their side of the issue. The streets ended up being cleared faster.
That is my kind of public employee, talking to the people who actually do the job and understand the problems.
