Like a bell's effect on Pavlov's dogs, the Republican National Convention is causing singer Clay Aiken to go stark raving mad. It also caused him to issue a racist tweet that is sure to raise eyebrows.

On Tuesday night, televised coverage of the RNC sent Aiken to Twitter to vent, and after taking some shots at the GOP, things got racial. "Playing drinking game with my brother now. We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention," Aiken tweeted. He then included "#soberasamormon," an obvious dig at Gov. Mitt Romney's faith.

How do I hate them? Oh, let me count the ways.

1. totally wrong - just because something is written on the internet does not mean it is true.

Clay Aikens tweet was not racist and he is a democrat, he was commenting on the pale nature of the convention

As for a swipe at the religion, I don't see it as a swipe, goodness knows I have talked much more about their magic underwear.

2. Typical twisting of words. It wasn't racist; it was anti-racist.

I'll also point out the photo of Aiken on the page. He's in costume, but it's a dog-whistle photo if ever I've seen one.

They are crazy racist homophobic assholes but unfortunately they have a huge ability to manipulate both fact and feeling.
