http://www.experian.com/blogs/marketing-forward/2012/08/28/top-tv-shows-for-reaching-key-voters/Experian Simmons has released a new list of the top 20 television programs for reaching party loyals as well as three key swing voter segments.
The segments come from the PoliticalPersonas consumer segmentation system, which classifies U.S. adults into one of 10 unique segments based on the individuals political outlook and party ID as well as their attitudes and opinions towards key topics.
... For example, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central has the highest concentration of Super Democrats of any non-news cable or broadcast show on TV. Likewise, Rules of Engagement on CBS has the highest concentration of Mild Republicans.

(25,415 posts)Pauley Perrette (who plays Abby on NCIS) is about as liberal as they come. I wonder if those ultra conservatives realize that most of the cast is very, very liberal, very pro gay rights, etc.

(100,068 posts)If they had listed shows like Breaking Bad, the Walking Dead, Daily Show/Colbert Report, then I'd be worried.

(60,212 posts)just sound like old people shows.
The Today Show? Wheel of Fortune? Days of our Lives?
Who watches these shows other than people like my grandma who just turn the TV on in the morning, watch it all day, and then turn it off at night?
Also note that House Hunters, Property Brothers, Antiques Roadshow, and sprots are the only shows not on ABC, NBC, and CBS, while almost all the other demographics watch a lot of cable.
(Full disclosure: I totally watch teh House Hunters and teh Antiques Roadshow, but again, House Hunters is not a show I go out of my way to watch, it's just something that everyone can agree on... a time waster, if you will.)
