Mitt Romney's eyebrows

Voters' attitudes towards candidates are conditioned by the candidates' appeance on television. For example, a square jaw projects confidence and competence in the voters' minds, and Romney presumably benefits from this.

However, he has a somewhat unusual brow and eye socket. His brow extends downward so that his eybrows align with the top of his eyes. In a head-on photo, the upper eyelid and upper part of the eye socket are not visible. The upper eye socket projects almost horizontally forward to the bottom of his eyebrow.

The net effect in most photos is beady eyes under a bushy eyebrow. Only when he does an eye flash or when the photo takes a quarter view from below is their any real separation of eye and eyebrow.

What impression does this facial characteristic give to voters?
