At a restaurant. FOX was on. Muted with subtitles. Horrifying. I truly

believe that people who go to FOX for information are impossible to bring back to a life with truth in it. I am sad about that.

I was "watching" Tucker Carlson. It was pure venom. Propaganda that Big Brother would be proud of. Brainwashing liquid triple strength.

He attacked Baltimore and Democrats and their policies that make the city a shithole.

Then they touted Hungary quest to have more babies. He praised Hungary for not offering the nation's wealth to immigrants!

All of the hot button issues are wound around one another. That button is constantly pushed. Hatred. Fear. BS.

They were bashing Cummings so they had a couple of black guests. Both spewed lies. Ben Carson was one. Disgusting.

It is well done propaganda/brainwashing. It is relentless. I give FOX and Rush (and ilk) the credit for the mess we are in. If you wonder how millions voted for Trump, look no further. If you watch that toxic mess you lose anything resembling a brain or a soul.

I honestly don't know how honest, caring people can fight this poison. But fight we must.

Until FOX goes away the odds are not in our favor.

is being renovated. He's a huge lover of all things Fox and gets very emotional and upset if I laugh at the spiel they put out.

I try to be a good houseguest so I shut up, put on my head set and watch movies on my laptop while he brainwashes himself for 2-3 hours ever night. I'd say that at least 90% of the junk he believes is based on lies and misinformation fed to him by Fox opinion hosts like Carlson and Hannity.

He won't accept any other source. Everyone is out to get poor lil, innocent Donny who has single handedly saved America from... I dunno, us radical lefty, intellectual, socialist elites, seems to be a popular refrain.

I hate them in the waiting rooms of car dealerships, and if I get twenty seconds of being alone I turn it off.

TVs in bars or restaurants tuned to sports is okay. No sound is ever needed.

...not watching the TV much.

And one of the waiting areas in the dealership I have to go to now with my new vehicle has had the RW OneAmerica crazy crap on. That's going to stop if they expect me to continue going there.

I absolutely hate having TVs on everywhere, no matter what is on. If I know I'm going to have to wait someplace I take a book, and with some TV audio on in the room it's hard to keep concentration to read. And that's just it too. The TV motion and changing video cuts coupled with attention-getting sound demand attention.

I don't even own a TV, so I am simply not used to having one on at all. I am driven crazy when I visit my sister because her TV is on nearly constantly. Never on Fox. Mostly children's stuff because of her grandchildren being there so much. But it's almost impossible to get away from, given the layout of her house. I hate it.

She's thinking of coming to visit me next year. Wonder how she'll manage without a TV.

Travelling and stopped to eat at a small town restaurant. The muted show I "watched" was Hannity. Tons of Cummings and Baltimore bashing. Pure pro-Trump propaganda. Disgusting.

On a positive note, my 88 year old Dad, a lifelong Dem, volunteers at a local hospital once a week. One thing he always does is go to the waiting rooms and if a tv is tuned to Fox news (they usually are), he changes the channel to MSNBC then "hides" the remote so visitors can't change it back.

He needs to learn to block the channel on those TVs! I've fantasized about doing that, especially after a visit to my dentist a few months back. I know my dentist, she's "one of us," as is her young assistant - they often turn on MSNBC for me and we often discuss the issues of the day. But when I walked in that time, FOX News was on the TV in the waiting room! I furiously searched for the remote until the assistant came in and changed it, explaining that a previous patient had "requested" it. In the minute and a half I was stuck listening all they talked about were Hillary's emails! In 2019!

My doctor's office little snippets of health tips of all sorts.

It's a stupid business that insists on playing garbage like reichwing propaganda.

I asked a cashier if she could switch it to CNN or MSNBC. She gave me the remote and said, "Find it." I switched the channel to MSNBC. Then I found the parental controls, blocked FOX Nooze and Fox Business, and put on a password. Now they can't bring it back.

Get the manager in front of you and tell him you're leaving, because of the shit he's allowing to spew in his establishment. Until we make our viewpoints clear, until it's a matter of businesses losing dollars and cents, we're not going to do ourselves any good.

I asked them to change it and the manager said no it was corporate policy. So I went home and looked up the ownership, guess what he is a HUGE Trumper, he loved our crazy former governor Mary Failin too. No more dollars there.

I can't imagine a business showing anything that could cost them business but some clearly don't care. They really think everyone who lives here is crazy right wing, even in a college town.

is in Drs. offices. They seem to have adopted HGTV as the most inoffensive channel to have on in the waiting room.

I can't remember seeing anything but that for the last few years. It bores me to tears but at least it isn't Faux.

I can't really pinpoint to when this "trend" began, but I rarely see a TV tuned to Fox in a public establishment. I remember a grocery store that used to have it on while you waited at the meat counter for your number to come up. I went home and wrote them a letter saying I liked their store but would no longer patronize it if they had that on.

In their waiting room they’ve installed 3-4 TVs and they are always tuned to HGTV. The sound is usually muted with closed captioning on for those who wish to follow along. This is, to me, the most rational thing to do. Having been sitting in one of those chairs waiting on a very scary procedure or testing for cancer, the LAST thing I want is a tv blaring in the background. On the other hand, if I’m there for a routine test, I might watch a house renovation to pass the time. I’ve never seen anything except HGTV on their TVs. I’m sure some would prefer something else but I don’t think that is even an option.....no remotes in sight! LOL.
