I grew up with crazy

Glad I didn't see drumpf this morning. When I see crazy I feel crazy.

Is this coming to a head?

I hardly feel safe out in the world anymore.

I am being very selective who I interact with. Slowing my roll.

Mostly spending time with my pets and in nature.

The reign of terror only ended five years ago when our father died.

Still have occasional PTSD.

Please remember, as I do: You are NOT a victim. You are a SURVIVOR.

There could be some REALLY ugly stuff coming. I don’t think we’ve seen even the tip of the iceberg yet.

Take a break if, and when, you need it. You’re more important than the traitors in the White House.

There are many times I have to turn away, mute, change the channel or replace what I have just seen/heard with something else from HGTV or the Food Network....

I put "Trump" on my auto-trash-by-keyword list here on DU.

It really reduces my exposure to his creepy-crazy.

Thank you. You are not alone. And you put into words exactly how many of us are feeling.

Thus far today, I've had a pleasant time with my two dogs and four cats. I'm happy I don't have to go farther than my mailbox.

Every media I turn to now fills me with disgust for humans and specifically white Americans! We are so violent! It permeates our history.

Reading a fictional novel about 9th century Scandanavian cultures - terribly violent, as you may imagine.

Watching Ken Burns' "The West," about the American west. Fabulously rendered - but the horrific genocide is stomach-turning. Indigenous, black, Lationos/Mexicans...

Our past and present is shameful in many ways. Many recurring themes.

I believe America is reaping its karmic due.

and sat there transfixed as if watching a lunatic in Ward 21 - with the helicopter noise and screaming reporters. The media is as shameless as the Con

and therein lies the big problem. We could have thrown the bastard out by now if we had a media with integrity...

I'm keeping my head up with self-care. Like I said, slowing it down helps.

I saw a car with a trump sticker the other day. I went ballistic inside my little car. I'm going to stroke out, if I keep it up! As she pulled up to the stoplight she sucked on her ciggy and pulled out her phone. I wagged my finger at her. I was surprised, since she was an old gray hair like me! With due respect ....

Then I ran into a former colleague at an outdoor concert who I thought was on "our" side. I disclosed my hate of trump to her, and she shocked me responding: "I don't feel that way. He's moving us forward."

Guess I need to work on my impulse control!

Also observed a pernicious post / thread fight on local FB group (thankfully, I cancelled my FB and only lurk on hubby's. Keeps me from jumping in. See above re impulse control.) It went from a fun friendly post about black bear poop (on neighbor's property) to attacks on libruls in nothing flat!!!

Oy!
