I wish Dem. controlled states would start a counter to voter suppression.

I'd like to see them do what Oregon and Washington State have done with vote by mail.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but we should be actively REMOVING obstacles to voting as a response to all this voter ID idiocy and make our party the one known for making it easier to exercise our franchise.

I know it is not as exciting as griping about the republican voter suppression efforts, but we can do something other than wring our hands and hope for the best from the courts by actively demanding our democratic legislators do something that draws a DISTINCT line in the sand on the differences between our parties by putting ideas forward to make it easier to vote.

I usually get my ballot in the mail a few weeks before the election and can fill it out at my convenience regardless of weather related events and no hassles of standing in long lines at the polls.
