Jeb Bush: I’d Have Been ‘Spanked’ If I Acted Like Obama...(WTF?)

Jeb Bush: I’d Have Been ‘Spanked’ If I Acted Like Obama (VIDEO)

Jeb Bush said Thursday that he would defend his brother, former President George W. Bush, and his legacy during his convention speech on the final day of the Republican convention. Bush said President Obama's tendency to blame Bush for the recession is worthy of a "spanking."

"I'm going to start off with just a recognition: My brother is a person of courage and integrity and honor and we need people like that in public life," Bush said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday morning. "I love him dearly. I'm biased about this."

Bush said his brother is unfairly maligned by President Obama: "I just feel compelled to do this because almost every day I hear the current incumbent push down the past to make himself look better. When I was growing up, we were spanked when that happened."

<...>

Bush was making the rounds on the morning shows Thursday, advising Romney to "connect emotionally" in his speech and defending the fibs in Paul Ryan's speech.

Bush On Jobs: The Worst Track Record On Record

By WSJ Staff

President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office.

His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton‘s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office.

Here’s a look at job creation under each president since the Labor Department started keeping payroll records in 1939. The counts are based on total payrolls between the start of the month the president took office (using the final payroll count for the end of the prior December) and his final December in office.

Because the size of the economy and labor force varies, we also calculate in percentage terms how much the total payroll count expanded under each president. The current President Bush, once taking account how long he’s been in office, shows the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records. –

That's the first thing I thought, too. The next thing that came to mind was, "EWWWWW!!!" after I got the visual.

And, I did have to have a little twinge of respect for the idiot. It can't be easy to love and defend a brother like that. And, with that...I've made myself sick.

Gawd, Jeb.

But it does show what happens to Democrats who tell the truth, when the truth makes a Republican uncomfortable. Can Jeb Bush prove it was Obama that caused the recession?

All the facts indicate it gathered and blew during the Bush administration. They should be blamed and blamed loudly so their idiotic policies will whither away and die.
