Most common US age by race: Hispanic 11, African Am 27, Asian 29, whites 58

The simple math that should keep Republicans up at night
The most common age of Hispanics in America is 11. For whites? 58.

Two demographic trends are expected to reshape the United States over the next 30 years. One is that the average age of Americans will creep steadily upward. The other is that the density of white Americans as a percentage of the population will slip steadily downward.

On Tuesday, we got a vivid reminder of the existence of those two trends, courtesy of analysis from the Pew Research Center. Pew’s Katherine Schaeffer looked at Census Bureau age data by race and ethnicity and came to a startling realization.

The most common age in the United States is 27, a function of the population boom that marked the millennial generation and of the natural effects of the baby boomers getting older. But that most-common age is not the same across racial or ethnic groups. Among black Americans, the most common age is 27, as it is for nonwhite Americans overall. The most common age among whites?

Fifty-eight.

The three major measures of central tendency in a population or a sample are the mean, the median, and the mode. The arithmetic mean is calculated by summing the values and dividing by the number of items. The median is found by ordering the values from high to low and picking the value halfway from the top. The mode is the value found most often in the sample.

Remember The Duggars? I guess they're still out there, but they were part of the push for white folks to have more babies.

That didn't occur in a vacuum. The demographic changes in this study are not new knowledge by any means. Socialogists have been tracking racial numbers for decades.

Based on my local experience at present their population is growing

but unfortunately it is offset by short life expectancy, they have a shit ton of social and medical problems

I would reckon the median age for the Nations I am involved with is 17 years old

Any demographic analysis that explicitly ignores that is going to be wrong. I don't think anybody that writes these articles knows any white hispanics they didn't meet in a college liberal arts program. Well I got some news for ya. White hispanics vote just like all the other whites. This explains why there's that 20-30% hispanic support for republicans "for some reason" that these political writers never can figure out.

The hypothesis is this: Hispanic support for Trump/GOP is standard white support for Trump/GOP adjusted by the proportion of hispanic population that is white.

See the note at the bottom of the graph in post 22. The Pew study treated hispanics as a separate race, while the US government does not. "Race" is arbitrary anyway.
