Maybe if they followed any news other than Fox News, they might not be making foolish statements. The people coming here for asylum are fleeing horrible conditions where they came from. Their lives were threatened, and many of them have already lost family and friends in the violence. It's so bad that they would rather give up their kids at the border and languish in cages in the good old USA. Most Americans have no concept of the desperation these people are feeling. And most Americans, if confronted with similar circumstances, would be trying to get themselves into another country just as urgently.
