The Kentucky Democratic Party launched a “Moscow Mitch” online store, making use of a nickname used to describe Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for blocking an election security bill.

The GOP is going to make a legal threat on the basis of the (parodic) use of the GOP trademark elephant logo shape.

If the KY Democrats are really smart, they will file a DJ action in response to that threat, and have a federal court explain exactly why this qualifies for the parody species of fair use.

The court will have to explain just what the parodic message is, and why it is a substantial matter of interest deserving of parodic commentary.

I don't wear my politics. Not because I'm ashamed but I live in a smallish town and prefer to keep my politics mostly private. But I would buy a couple of shirts for them to give away...
