@PhilipRucker
Pelosi on Baltimore: The president this comes as no surprise really doesnt know what hes talking about. But maybe you could ask his son-in-law, who is a slumlord there, if he wants to talk about rodent infestations.

(16,784 posts)That will get under Trumplethinskin's skin. Going after a family member is a red line that shouldn't be crossed, but much needed in this case because it is true.

(259 posts)he has the title of white house advisor as well as many other jobs and thus he is part of the administration. He is fair game just like the rest of that gang.

(1,896 posts)When the family member is given high level official duties and the resources of the government are put at his disposal, he is most definitely subject to criticism. Too busy solving the conflict in the middle east to take care of his apartments no doubt. I'd still like to find out what was up behind the financing for 666 Fifth Ave. - it smells like a money laundering deal. How in the world did that Quatari money show up just in the nick of time? https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/02/qatar-666-5th-ave-jared-kushner

(4,291 posts)I guess the fact that actual open warfare hasnt broken out (yet) is going to somehow be attributed to JarJar.
Lets face it: a flailing slum-lord who has to rely on foreign investors to bale out his familys shitty business practices is in WAY over his head! And guess who will get stuck with the damages/clean-up!

(15,241 posts)He's disposable. I'm betting every one of dump's family is disposable, including the two nitwits and barbie (she's getting too old for "his tastes" .
The last thing that dump will miss when he's been hustled off to reality will be his hair carpet. Won't miss family, won't miss friends (?), won't miss money too much - can still try to hustle amphetamines with the other dopes in prison.

(82,849 posts)I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that Donald has gotten tired of this little fight he picked. It's going against him in so many different ways, and now it's spilling out into areas he generally tries to keep off limits (like his family and finances). Chairman Cummings isn't backing down and is instead pushing forward with the committee's inquiries. Cummings has been joined by all manner of folks on this one, not just chuck-n-nancy, but celebrities, entertainers, singers, and other people whose attention Trump ordinarily craves.
I predict he picks a new fight tomorrow. Doesn't mean we have to stop battling him on this one.

(1,887 posts)Looks like Trump picked the wrong fight, now exposing his crooked slumlord son-in-law to scrutiny under
microscopic lenses. Jared was a well-known slumlord in NYC long before his Oval Office connections.
A similar slumlord in NYC, named Corman, was sent to prison for his dirty deeds while Jared had escaped the bullet.
Can't wait to read all about his history as slumlord in NYC and Baltimore which will come out in reams before Pelosi and Cummings
will be finished with him.
