Actually that is in all seriousness what a lot of political reporters do with debates and speeches. I am not looking forwards to that now that one incumbent has finally accepted to take on the other for a debate.

Last time around I overlooked a very minor fib, I knew where he was coming from... as a former medic. But I got whiplash when he said it. No, you cannot give chest compressions in water, but most folks really don't care.

Just because he can sign his name doesn't mean he can read.

Didn't you learn anything from the Dubya administration? He 'read' a presidential daily brief that said terrorists might attack the world trade center on september 11th. (it's possible the date wasn't actually in the brief)

16. Technically, ...
Thu Aug 30, 2012, 04:20 PM
Aug 2012

(On edit, adding dates)

Technically, the Ryan line is that the President failed to "keep it open".

Technically, the plant had a hundred workers paid after the main line closed Dec 23, 2008, to keep a small line open to fill out a truck order until April 2009.

However, the basic fact that the weasel would have you not know is that the plant closing was accelerated by the Republican President who applauded GM for being "adaptable" in closing that and other plants. The plant was slated to close in 2010 (see letter above) but was accelerated and closed in 2008 except for an essentially inconsequential amount of work for a few months.

Fact: It was all decided and finalized by time Obama took office.

To claim Obama could have kept it open is either:
1) A lie
2) A belief that government should take over business.

So....which is it? A lie, or are Republicans actually Communists?

Was a feel-good story all the way around this morning. Kinderman, 65, of 3908 Windwood Drive, is a retired General Motors worker who won the big prize after buying just one ticket. The United Way raised much more than its goal of $180,000 by selling more than 11,000 tickets for the last Tahoe off the line.
