Is Fox turning on Trump?

Fox’s Neil Cavuto Fact-Check’s on Trump On China Tariffs

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto immediately followed up President Donald Trump‘s comments to reporters Friday afternoon by calling out some of his comments about China.

Trump said, “China will totally pay for the tariffs. The tariffs are not being paid for by our people. It’s being paid for by China.”

Cavuto remarked, “I don’t know where to begin here.”

Cavuto continued:
“Just to be clarifying here, China isn’t paying these tariffs, you are.
It’s passed along to you ... who buy this stuff. Not the Chinese government.
This latest round of tariffs that kick in on September 1… that will most directly be felt by U.S. consumers directly, ... just wanted to clarify that.”

If that were it answer me this: why does China feel the need to retaliate when we tarrif there goods?

To be clear China has taken advantage of the usa for decades and it needs to be addressed. Walmart is public enemy #1 in my book.

A couple over there recognize that they don't personally benefit from some of Trump's idiocy. Hurts them financially, and they don't want to be associated with some of the most egregiously stupid policy explanations for the week. There are things economically that alarm even very wealthy Republicans that have at least some economic and financial literacy.

Like if I were a greedy Republican millionaire, I'd be rather alarmed that Trump doesn't actually know the basics of how tarriffs function, for example.

The social warriors, who are still very happy with Trump, and the country-clubbers, who liked the Never Trumpers, but have quieted down since they got their tax cut. Cavuto is definitively from the latter group, he sides with CEO's who make multi-millions from selling Americans cheap Chinese shit.
