(1,663 posts)Even if it's for the sake of an anti-gun message, I have issues with parading around images and videos that can deeply affect the respective family. They may not even know the status of their loved one and then see a video of their bloody corpse.

(28,469 posts)Among the reasons these things happen so readily is that almost no one ever sees exactly what horrific damage guns do to human bodies.
I have long said that if we'd seen only one of the children at Sandy Hook, maybe then gun laws would have been enacted.
I don't know what it's like to lose a loved one, regardless of age, to gun violence. But I hope if that happened I'd be strong enough to let the world see what happened.
Never forget Emmett Tills's mother had the courage to do just that.
