After the Ohio shooting, I watched the news for a few hours and Mitch's name was mentioned and held him directly responsible for allowing gun control bills to pile up on his desk and and he never brings them to the Senate for a vote. I think that between Moscow Mitch's not securing our elections from Putin and now these mass murders by American terrorists he is feeling he needs to get some sympathy...hence the broken shoulder (convenient timing or KARMA?). Sherrod Brown was not happy with Mitch last night (Ohio is his state). Other people knowledgeable about terrorists, hate crimes, mass shootings also did blame Mitch. Jim Cavanaugh, ATF specialist, named Mitch and what he is NOT doing in the Senate to address this issue.

They are allowing it and enabling it. I think this realization was the biggest and most disgusting outcome of the 2016 election. We expected the GOP, who were on public record criticizing the moron, to give a damn about the country but they fell in line pretty damn fast. Disgusting, greedy spineless traitors!

Nine dead and sixteen injured in one minute. God! We've got to get these guns off the streets.

Nine gone in one minute. The NRA and repugs keep blocking laws to stop this madness. And it is madness. No society can sustain itself if this keeps going on.
Who wants to go to any area or event now with many people attending and presenting targets to some deranged gun nut/white supremacist killer.

I'll call it powerful enough when he and many other law enforcement officials band together and call for outlawing semi-automatic weapons in the United States. I suspect that in his heart, that's what this officer would like to say but he fears the massive backlash from our gun nuts and gun lobby.

El Paso has 46 people shot in a short time, with 20 people killed. Dayton had 35 people shot with nine killed in around one minute with cops nearby.

In Los Vegas in 2017, 59 people were killed and at least 527 others were injured in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history - all from semi-automatic weapons.

This must stop. It's always a good time time to call for action when people are needlessly dying.

and the ability to very rapidly kill. Vegas was one of the worst ever examples.

Don't think they've officially confirmed the El Paso weapon yet, but observers on the scene said AK47.

The similarities of these crimes is frightening: young white males with far right-wing on-line connections, wearing hearing protection and/or body armour, well to-do parents and living at home, semiautomatic weapons and severe hatred of the "other" in some form.

It's hard to accept that this level of brainwashing can occur just from on-line exposure, unless these guys are part of the population psychiatrists say are born psychopaths (perhaps as high as 5%, depending on degree). They would be the most vulnerable.

I hope the FBI is investigating this as a potential terrorist conspiracy against some of the on-line idiots who have encouraged these crimes.

Important that we "disrupt" the usual, post-massacre process.
Just heard the mayor of Dayton point out that the perp killed 9 people and wounded 26 in the 1-minute of time it took patrolling officers to confront the gunman.
It IS well past the time to talk about getting these weapons off the streets.

Was so close he grabbed the barrel of the assault rifle and in that brief skirmish the shooter pulled out a pistol but police shot him before he could use the pistol. That incredibly brave bystander almost certainly saved lives. And start to finish was just under 1 minute.

It doesn't mention those responsible for fanning the flames of racism. Number one on that list resides in the Whitehouse. And we can't leave Twitter out of this either because they will not enforce their own rules when it comes to the President. Twitter, shut down that account that is so responsible for radicalizing people like the El Paso shooter. We KNOW what the problem is and we KNOW who is mostly responsible but we are unwilling to confront the issue head on. That needs to end. 29 killed in less than 24 hours. That is insane. And it is almost exclusively a Republican problem.

Eerily I felt no emotion at the time. Dead bodies laying on the sidewalk in front. Maybe I was lucky by five or ten minutes. There weren't enough gurneys so we used the carts that they use for stocking shelves, The real perp lives in the White House. If he gets away with it kiss the Democratic Party goodbye. It's time to stand up to the chickenshit terrorist in charge. He murdered these people, Any politician who doesn't denounce him should be gone in a nano second. Enough of this shit.
