Both wanted Helter Skelter, a race war that they were both more than excited to trigger.
Both have a cult following that will do whatever their dear leader asks, without concern. I think that they love being murderers and evil but that's just from the look of glee I see on their faces.
The difference is that Manson went to prison for encouraging murder.

Manson had a definite weird, dark charisma. You couldnt help but watch him.

(3,433 posts)Manson directly ordered those killings. Trump is not. And that matters.
Trump is fostering an environment that enables killing. It's called stochastic terrorism. It's different and potentially more violent, harder for people to connect responsibility. And that matters too.

(7,800 posts)Recently watched a profile on Charles Manson, and I was immediately struck with how his personality disorders reminded me of Trump. My daughter had the same reaction.
To me, Trump seems to be equal parts Mussolini, Hitler, and Charles Manson.
Great individual to be occupying the world's most powerful job.
