Analysis: Trump Directly Cited As Motivation In 61 Murders And 5 Terrorist Plots

This is from an article in the Intellectualist written before the last three mass shooting. Trump is an accomplice.

Analysis: Trump Directly Cited As Motivation In 61 Murders And 5 Terrorist Plots

Donald Trump has been directly cited as a motivating factor for violence in at least 5 terrorist plots and 61 murders.

Lest anyone get too comfortable believing that words don’t matter and Donald Trump’s nativist rhetoric is merely a political “nothing burger,” it is worth noting that the President of the United States has been directly cited as motivation for violent acts in at least five terrorist plots and 61 murders.

Not all of these incidents were successful, but the intent to harm was real for each and every one.

At a time when his rallies carry chants of “Send her back!” as Trump targets a sitting U.S. congresswoman, let us remember the people who took his words to heart and moved forward with action.

New Zealand Attack

Australian-born Brenton Tarrant published a manifesto before he walked into two Christchurch, New Zealand, mosques and shot dozens of worshipping Muslims. In that manifesto, the terrorist praised Trump as "a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose".

Tarrant killed 51 people and wounded over a dozen more with his attacks.

Coast Guard Shooter

Coast Guard Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson didn’t have the chance to act on his vile plans, but prosecutors labeled him a “domestic terrorist” nonetheless, saying his goal was “to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country.”

The self-proclaimed white nationalist and skinhead had a list of intended targets, which “included, among others, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Maxine Waters, Senator Richard Blumenthal, whom he referred to as “Sen blumen jew,” and many of the senators running for president in 2020.”

Hasson was one who advocated civil war if Trump were to be impeached, according to his internet searches.

MAGA Bomber

Cesar Sayoc Jr. was an avid Trump fan, posting photos of himself wearing the trademark red “Make America Great Again” baseball cap, attending the president’s rallies, and driving a van plastered with hateful stickers and photos of the Trump and Vice President Pence.

The MAGA bomber went on to send pipe bombs to numerous left-wing individuals, including billionaire philanthropist George Soros, former Vice President Joe Biden, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

No one was injured by the devices, and Sayoc pleaded guilty to 65 felonies for mailing the bombs.

Waffle House Shooting

Waffle house shooter Travis Reinking “wanted to set up a meeting with the president,” according to authorities.

The Morton, Illinois, resident was arrested in April 2018 on multiple counts of criminal homicide in shootings at a Nashville Waffle House that killed four people.

Quebec Mosque Attack

Six people were killed in Quebec when Alexandre Bissonnette walked into an Islamic Cultural Center and unloaded 48 rounds on dozens of men wrapping up their evening prayers.

“During the often chilling hearing, prosecutors, survivors, prison psychologists and people who knew Mr. Bissonnette painted a portrait of a socially isolated but intelligent young man who developed an obsession with the far right, mass killers, Donald Trump and Muslims,” The New York Times reported in May 2018.

With Trump’s 2020 campaign strategy looking as hate-filled as his 2016 approach, it is likely only a matter of time until another individual takes the president’s words to heart and more people are burying their loved ones.

It needs to be updated to reflect the recent carnage, but then by that time there will probably have been another mass shooting by a Trump terrorist.

7. And guess what...none of those crimes are covered by U.S. terrorism laws

because out terrorism laws were written specifically to be used against foreign extremist groups and nation-states. If you're not tied to foreigners, it isn't legally terrorism.

had the radio preset to at least one of limbaugh, hannity, savage, levin, ingraham, etc or the local rw blowhards - of which there are many in FLA? when are investigators going to start noting and reporting that shit? when are reporters going to start asking friends and neighbors who they listened to on the radio?

yeah they're fucking nuts and most are on the internet too and trump triggered them, but the general widespread atmosphere that gave us and enabled trump to be able to inspire and out them started 30 years ago when the republicans bought up 1500 radio stations to make excuses for and feed and direct the ignorance, racism, hate, and paranoia. they put a few hundred racist ignorant liars on every corner and stump in the country and made sure the only place liberals and democrats would talk back in real time was major cities and maybe college towns. by ignoring republican talk radio in 40 states with 80 senators, which has likely been part of putin's arsenal for at least 10 years, democrats and liberals have been walking by those carnival barkers with their fingers in their ears, making it more acceptable every year. expecting the captive audience to educate themselves and figure it out is stupid. hearing the lies repeated over and over and over by multiple different sources without challenge is why these nuts believe this shit, with huge secondary and tertiary audiences being influenced to believe or entertain, for instance, that global warming may be a hoax, dealing with it will cause unemployment, it's way off in the future, it might be good for us, hillary is the most corrupt politician in the world, and if bill clinton can do it to women, why not trump?

and media keeps saying trump knows how to manipulate, he's a tweet magician, he knows just what to say, they can't believe his base believes his lies ... it's bullshit.

all he's doing is what putin told him - "we know how to feed your friend and neighbor limbaugh and a lot of what the karl roves have been feeding him is good stuff to beat liberals/dems (and destroy democracy) and there's 30 years of it to piggyback so follow limbaugh's lead and we will too, with social media, internet ops, etc. and that way we can collude right under their noses"

11. Certainot, you are a wunderkind. Keep reminding us of the 1500 Republican hate radio stations.

Seriously. One or two steady drumbeats and your (very true) message will catch on.

I remember when only a dozen people were researching vote suppression and SCREAMING look over there! We're losing our democracy! Many people just scoffed and said "meh, that can't really be true."

But now everyone is finally talking about vote suppression and vote tampering. Stacy Abrams had her governorship STOLEN because of it and now it's like "Oh, that shit's real."

Well people, listen to this fine Democrat above and heed their words! 1500 AM radio stations are feeding IGNORANCE to our republic. ALL Democrats should have a plan to address it. (Along with MANDATING better schooling with MEDIA LITERACY abd CIVICS as a K-12 essential.
