I've been over in the Primaries forum discussing the AFSCME forum yesterday. I'm union proud and AFSCME proud. I'd love to see who here is also proud to be a brother or sister.

Joined AFSCME in 1980 and was a member until retirement in 2016.

(51,636 posts)and was harassed by every principal I had due to it (yes, they admitted it too). That didn't stop me from doing my best Norma Rae. Yeah NEA, CTA, and SDEA (the three teachers unions, national, state and local).
I also walked on the picket line with my dad during middle school Summer vacation (AT&T). Whole family is pro union!!!!

(51,636 posts)during my break time in the employee lounge and within 24 hours someone overheard me and didn't like what they heard and I was called on the carpet by the acting chief executive at the time. It was during my break time...how Norma Rae is that?!?
After I happily left that store I went back to college and said that my next career would be one with a union.
