Because in any sort of situation, if someone were to sneak up behind them and grab said rifle, it would be too late for them to do a goddamn thing.

It is true Dick's Sporting Goods stores do not sell firearms. All firearms and ammunition have been moved to their subsidiary Field and Stream stores. In some cases Field and Stream is co-located within Dick's; you can tell you have left Dick's by the different color of carpet.

So to say Dick's no longer sells firearms is technically true but to say they are out of the business is not.

With its top stars either retiring on have passed away, NASCAR is a dying sport.

Sponsors like the NRA and Liberty University do little to help broaden its appeal

and unfortunately, 3 miles from my front door where it happens in 2 weeks. I used to go once in a while, the over the top fake patriotism and absolute asses when they get to drunk made me quit going. The crowds have diminished GREATLY over the years. The night race at Bristol used to be on top 50 events in sports to see. Now in Bristol,we hardly even know a race is in town. campgrounds, are less than half full,,,tons of empty seats. Just goes to show, anything that is primarily Republican, just dies,,

'If it ain't broke, don't fuck with it.'

The reason a Bristol ticket used to be the most sought-after in Nascar, was because of the one groove racetrack, that required the old school, bump and run, method of passing a slower car. Nascar thought it would improve the racing by changing the racetrack with progressive banking, and then began screwing around with spreading traction compound near the bottom when it became obvious they had ruined the attraction. Fans wanted to see the contact and retaliations throughout the race, and the change ruined that.

I would be quite upset if my school spent big bucks to put their logo on a race car as opposed to spending it to help the student body.
