yes. As other posters point out, nothing will dissuade the Deplorables -- except Trump acting like a Democrat or reversing course on white supremacy.

The net positive could be that more casual/occasional voters and Dem-leaning non-voters may get committed to dumping Trump. We shall see.

put his racism on the record, the media in general has been calling him racist more often and the white supremacy discussion is now on in earnest.

That said you still have the Kelly O'Donnells with her pro-ReTHUG BS saying that the Democrats call him racist.

The "War on Libruls" is just around the corner. They will drive their flag-adorned pickups around the town square, then go home to watch the action (FOX NEWS) on their 84" TV as deluded kids continue their fantasy carnage.

They love the imagery. They thrive on the hate. They live for grievance.

It is historically difficult to defeat a sitting president. Trump may prove the exception. By a landslide. If there is no cheating. If no votes suppressed. No dirty tricks. Smears. Ugly accusations. Soundbites.

We need to always remember Trump as the most dangerous enemy the US has ever faced. We need to keep hammering home the dire threat to democracy. To decency. To the future of humankind.

For the record the election and Katrina were only about 9 months apart. I had sort of forgotten the two were that close.

It's all part of the banality of evil- this expectation of some grand "comeuppance" for or reformation of the shameless asshole is just self-delusion.
