It contains the most right-wing county in Washington...and one of the largest cities in the state.

reelections, and thus being watched for retirement is apparently common right now. A lot of incumbents won their last elections by narrower margins than ever before.

Also, I read that some committee leadership positions are term-limited, so those people face a double whammy of having to be just one of the crowd that's not running the committee. Time to become a lobbyist and start cashing in.
