Kellyanne Conway faces a furious backlash after linking Elizabeth Warren to Dayton massacre

Published 1 min ago
on August 6, 2019

By Travis Gettys

Kellyanne Conway is suggesting the Dayton gunman’s left-wing views motivated his mass shooting that killed nine people, including his sister — but she’s facing a strong pushback.

The White House adviser claimed on Fox News that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) may share some blame for the killings, because the 24-year-old gunman had expressed support for her presidential campaign on social media, and she shared a CNN report about his political views.

Daily Beast politics editor Sam Stein called attention to Conway’s post, and she quickly suggested he was blowing her tweet out of proportion.

“Me sharing @CNN story without comment bothers you, @samstein?” Conway tweeted.

Stein responded by asking her to explain why she’d posted the story.

they're making money off both ends. She gets money from trump and he gets money from the Kochs. He is a member of the Federalist Society and is planning the constitution convention to dismantle all our stated liberties and take all for themselves--i.e., the 1%

but when somebody who claims to be a supporter of a Democrat, or Sanders, that it means nothing.
Making the Dayton shooter a Warren or Sanders supporter seems to be the defensive talking point of the right now. They deflect, as usual.

I heard this yesterday, something about him being a left-wing socialist who "supported" Warren. Even Snopes says it is true. The only mention I can find, though, is that he once tweeted that given a choice between Harris and Warren, he'd vote for Warren. That doesn't really mean he was a Warren supporter, though! Given the choice of Satan or Trump, I'd choose Satan, but does that make me a Satan supporter?

because we've made such a big thing about how only Trump followers do such terrible things that we just cannot accept the person might be a Democrat--like millions of people who call themselves Democrats because that's how they vote, not that they are activists.
But Democrats are just people, not angels, and may include murderers, rapists, sexual harassers, and just plain assholes. Unfortunately we can only believe those kinds of people are just Trump Republicans.

Warren and Sanders do not incite people to commit acts of violence.

If the problem was that he was protesting at a corporate CEO's office, that could reasonably be suggested as incited by Warren.

She doesn't however, speak in terms of violence, she doesn't condone it or encourage it.

Same for Bernie.

The other guy, the one in El Paso, specifically used the very same language as his orange idol to justify his actions.

The guy in Dayton seems like a violent misogynist who threw up some major red flags several years ago. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders (or ANY of our candidates/elected people) do not endorse this, tacitly or blatantly.

Claiming that concern about these matters is a sign of being a leftist liberal, simply affirms that the right does not support fighting climate change, overpopulation and starvation.
