Chicago Mayor Says Ivanka Trump Doesn't Know What She Is Talking About Re Chicago Violence

The mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, has angrily hit back at a tweet by Ivanka Trump in which the first daughter appeared to shift the focus away from the mass shootings last weekend by comparing them with gun violence in the Windy City.

In the wake of the shootings in El Paso and Dayton that left at least 31 dead, Trump tweeted: "Let us not overlook that Chicago experienced its deadliest weekend of the year. With 7 dead and 52 wounded near a playground in the Windy City—and little national outrage or media coverage—we mustn't become numb to the violence faced by inner city communities every day."

But as CBS Chicago pointed out, in fact no fatal shootings happened near a playground. Seven people were wounded in a shooting attack after midnight near a playground in Douglas Park, when no children were present, but no one died.

Lightfoot told a news conference that neither Trump nor anyone else from the White House contacted Chicago City Hall before the tweet was sent.

"She got the numbers wrong. She got the location wrong. That's the danger of trying to govern via tweet," Lightfoot said.

Since she is lardass Donnie's "senior advisor" it is understandable why he never makes a decent judgement. Nobody with a workable BRAIN is allowed into his group. Iwanka is worried daddy will be getting impeached, and she will be investigated. I, for one, would like to know how she is spending the $100 Million dollars she was given to "promote women in business" I think the only one who benefitted was her. Prolly went for more face filler and Botox, hair dye (which STILL cannot cover the dark roots) and expensive, but shitty looking outfits. Don Jr. seems to getting along just fine without any job. She will hang in there until someone better comes along, which can not be too hard to find except most men prefer women who have not been passed around like party favors.

I don't know if they still are, and my own roots are naturally gray now and past caring. When my own hair was "blond," keeping the roots touched up was a major pain because too much "overlapping" could cause it to break off.

Right, inner cities everyday, how noble, but funny how team trump trashes only liberal cities like chicago baltimore los angeles, while ignoring cities in trump voting states.
Houston Texas, 2017 stats, being pro gun with texas voting for trump & with similar demographics & population as chicago, had a higher total crime rate than chicago, and was at close parity in violent crime rates (chicago 1099, houston 1095).
Haven't heard eevanka or trump trash St Louis with the highest violent crime rate in america in 2017, near double that of chicago, as well as St Louis property crime rate being twice as high.
St Louis also has had a higher violent crime rate and property rate than trump's 'rat infested' baltimore, but when will we ever hear trump bash st louis, ha.
