People with narcissistic personality disorder see others that way - as tools/props to feed an insatiable need for narcissistic supply.

Expecting Trump to sympathize, empathize, suddenly have awareness about his behavior is idiotic and dangerous. Will. Not. Happen. Ever.

This country needs to get a grip and understand the enemy. Trump sees most others as tools/props - and ruthless opportunists around the world, including Republicans, see Trump as a tool/prop.

Normal people have a natural tendency to project their own goodness onto those who don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. When someone shows them who they are, even over and over again, they have a hard time accepting it.
