The complexion of the 2020 election just changed

Watching Nicole Wallace as Jason Johnson just pointed out bluntly that the 2020 election WILL BE voting for RACIST and his racist enablers as a MORAL choice.

A vote for Trump will be a vote for RACISM And what kind of country do we want to be. All the Democrats will be focusing on this from now on.

Healthcare and the economy consistently poll as top issues to voters. We should campaign on the things that people care about the most

The choice is clear. Those who support and plan to vote for Trump will be categorized with Trumps racism.

That godless, soulless, bastard is the ine playing the race card and he needs to be called out on it every day.

Voting for Trump in 2016 was already a vote for a racist. He's been a known racist for decades. He kicked off his 2016 campaign by calling Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers, and he was, of course, the head birther.

Trump lacks the credibility to be a moral leader, let alone unite people in times like these.

If Vegas didn't change anything, this likely won't, either, sadly.

As for his lack of leadership, most people made up their minds about Trump long ago and understand who he is, for better or worse. The 40% thinks he's just peachy; the rest of us already knew he was a failure as a leader. This isn't going to change a lot of minds, because it's just more of the same where he (and everyone, for that matter) is concerned.

That being the case, focusing on the issues voters tell us are most important to them should be the plan, as it was in 2018.

And if it's the latter, it's going to be very, very bad for minorities. All their advances and protections come from our liberal democratic republic, from the power the vote gives them and people of good heart. If we were to lose that, they would once again be at the bottom of a very exploitative, oppressive and punitive class-, religion- and race-based hierarchy.

And possibly worse. Fascistic governments, which is what the Republican leadership's behaviors have begun to suggest, are archconservative -- far-right extremists, secular and/or religious, in control. And they always target some groups for persecution, to blame for the inevitable problems and to otherwise feed the passions of their "red in tooth and claw" loyalists.

the 2020 election IS going to be about who and what we want to be as a country.

It is a clear moral choice.

Today, Thom Hartmann was listing 5 Rampage Shootings directly inspired by Trump's irresponsible rhetoric.

Pairing his words with 5 shootings and the victim's faces would be a pretty effective ad.

But an ad saying "if you vote for him, you're a racist"? No. It would turn off any voter regretting their choice in 2016.

if we make gun violence the third rail, they're toast. There are cracks widening in the NRA-GOP edifice.

Moscow Mitch, money to the NRA from Russia then straight to the GOP...it's a road map for the election. Two things Mitch lays down for...the gun lobby and the Russians (and probably the Chinese as well).
