(40,168 posts)at a rally at a place called "Fancy Farm", not to be mistaken for the "Funny Farm" where DJT belongs.
Sunday he allegedly fell on his patio, although I'd like to think someone tripped or pushed him on purpose.

(11,098 posts)Politicians hate it but think themselves obliged to go.
That being said, it would help my waning faith in America if Kentucky ousted Moscow Mitch.

(22,252 posts)and is the official kickoff of the campaign season. If he is getting that kind of heckling at FF which is in a fairly red area things are not looking good.
One of my bucket list items is to go to Fancy Farm.
Fancy Farm itself is a wide spot in the road in Western KY and folks come from all over to that picnic

(11,098 posts)The food sounds better than the Arkansas equivalent - the Gillett Coon Supper. No one even tries to say that BBQ raccoon is fit to eat.

I've never been but it is a must attend for Arkansas politicians.

(32,639 posts)Something tells me Moscow Mitch won't be spending much time in his home state for a while. He doesn't rely on local donations anyway, most of his campaign cash comes from the big bad PACs.

(4,192 posts)Yea! Show them no respect. Why bother listening to a person who has proven himself to be a liar. He deserves as much respect as he has shown us.

(5,106 posts)He's bragged for years of being party over country. Being an obstructionist toward the other party is not what this two-party government was meant to be about. Far before knowing what the sides of any issue entailed, let alone knowing what the issue itself was about, he's decreed he'd be against whatever the Democrats were in favor of. WTF? Who does he thinks he is and what is his reasoning? Who is he catering to? Certainly not his constituents. "Moscow Mitch" is the least of it. I'd guess it might have started with Newt Gingrich, but Mitch is even cockier than Newt.

(13,920 posts)I'm surprised he deigned to go somewhere that this would be allowed. Surely future speeches will have better curated crowds.
