Just now on CNN: Mayor Whaley is a very impressive person.

She has just concluded an interview on CNN with John Berman. He was asking about Trump's twitter meltdown after the Dayton visit. She responded with a sober and steady statement that she did not understand his reaction and then went on to discuss the needs of the community.

I think it is easy to explain. Trump is, as Mayor Whaley said "hyper-partisan." Trump divides the world into two categories: 1. His supporters and enablers. 2. Democrats. minorities, and the media.

I would not be surprised if Mayor Whaley runs for higher office in the not so distant future. She has demonstrated she belongs in the big field.

Trivia: Only two organized groups opposed her first run - Republicans and Berniacs.
More trivia: She is the first Dayton mayoral candidate ever to have run unopposed (2018).

puts her city's needs above her personal feelings. I don't think I could have shown the restraint that she exhibited in dealing with Trump.
