The US Attorney has nothing to do with overseeing federal correctional facilities.

I don't. I think they are shameless. To the extent that Trump even knows what the structure and policies are, he does not care.

Trump's pretext for firing Comey was laughable on it's face, and even more laughable upon inspection. And he did it anyway. Because it was just a pretext, and he didn't care how dopey it was to people in the know.

Trump is pissed at Berman for recusing himself (and also then refusing to un-recuse) on Cohen's case. Trump wants sycophants, and when you fail to behave that way he grabs onto any reason to get rid of you, no matter how dumb it is to anyone who knows anything. Using Epstein's suicide as an excuse is just the sort of thing Trump would do, imo. But that's just my opinion.

think Gulliani's gone crazy and not the prosecutor they once knew. And that SDNY could go rogue. Of course this didn't happen with filing charges on trump for check to Stormy.

But wouldn't it be great if there ended up being a band of good guys?

I'm skeptical that Epstein killed himself on his own, but will wait for facts before forming an opinion beyond that. There were just far too many rich and powerful people (possibly including an orange "billionaire&quot who would have been affected by Epstein going to trial not to be suspicious.

And the trial would have made going the accomplices easier in my opinion.

Good to read the statement though.
