Their screeching about the DEBT is what gets to me most.
Who is the last Republican president you remember who was actually a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE???
There haven't been any in my lifetime.
Reagan and Bush I ballooned it with massive tax cuts for the rich and military spending, on borrowed money.
Clinton slowed its growth, stopped it, and just began to pay it down -- Gore was just on the cusp of that AND healthcare. (Remember, "We can't pay the debt down too fast," and "It's good economic policy to have a debt," etc.?)
Bush the Lesser went back to the Reagan/Bush I model: massive tax cuts for the rich and military spending, on borrowed money.
Now they have the unmitigated GALL to bring up the Reagan Memorial DEBT??!!!
