Also, considering many GOP legislators efforts to protect the rights of rapists when their women victims become pregnant, and so many other examples, is this really a bridge too far? One thing is certain, the GOP has been escalating their war on women.

(46,097 posts)This doesn't exclude marital rape as well as statutory rape and incest. Women are supposed to be vacuous vessels that belong to men.

(23,099 posts)drumpf JUstice Dept. has tried (not sure what happened with this) to redefine rape so if person isn't physically badly injured, it's not rape. They promoted a rapist to SCOTUS. They have passed laws in 13 states allowing rapists to have child custody and come to the home of the victim to pick up the child, further traumatizing the victim. Repug judges are not holding rich white teens accountable for rape in many instances, etc. etc. etc.
Repugs are the rape party and there is no doubt about that.
