We didn't have nuclear weapons during other shitty eras
The world has never has a shortage of madmen. They did as much to fuck up humanity as possible. Conquest, genocide, slavery, torture, cruelty, etc., sure as hell didn't disappear when some bullshit called "American exceptionalism" came along.
Native Americans were subjected to genocide. Blacks were kidnapped from Africa and, even today, are not completely free. And torture and cruelty are traits that seem to be embedded in human nature.
There are many evil pricks ruling many countries today. Including ours. And there's something really wrong with you if you don't understand that Donald Trump is one of those evil pricks.
But here's the thing. Throughout history, no one has ever had the power to destroy the entire world. Today's nuclear weapons put that horror within reach.
So who exactly do we worry about? Putin? I doubt it. He wants to rule the world, not destroy it.
Kim Jung Un? He's a bat shit crazy fuck, but he doesn't have the wherewithal to destroy the world. Yet.
China? They too want to rule the world, not destroy it.
England? France? Their current leaders aren't insane.
And that leaves us with Donald Trump. He controls the nuclear Armeggedon. I don't think he want's to use it. Like some of his fellow fascists, he wants to control the world. But what if he's backed into a corner? What if America finds him culpable of countless crimes which could lead to his imprisonment? Or even if he wasn't locked up, he could find himself forever confined to Trump Tower with a GPS ankle chain.
Does anyone really believe this horrible toad would accept having his life limited in any way at all? Does anyone really believe he will willingly give up doing whatever he wants to do, whenever he wants to do it, to whomever he wants to do it to?
No way.
If Trump sees the writing on the wall before he leaves the White House, he will (try) to launch our entire nuclear arsenal. After all, if he can't survive, why should anyone else in the world?
Hopefully, the pentagon will ignore his launch orders. I believe they will.
Never again should any single person be permitted to hold as much power as the mindless creature who currently occupies the White House.
