Here we go again. Notice how the new meme from everyone right now is that the coming recession will doom Trump from being re-elected. Even Trump is scared about the economy.

That's so that when the recession doesn't happen, it'll be the reason he won again.

They make me sick, the games they play.

1. Many indications are that it's inevitable at this point.

The only question is the timing. The economy is pretty much the only thing propping Trump up, so if it goes in the toilet before the election, those noting that it'll probably doom him in 2020 are likely correct.

won't have enough time to really get rolling and wake people up. All sorts of stopgaps and bullshit can prop things up when we're this close to Nov. 2020.

I agree. It takes some time for the impact to be felt and understood, and it may be close enough to the election now that an economic shift wouldn't be fully noticeable in time.

On the other hand, a lot of economists are pretty clearly indicating that it's coming and it's Trump's fault. If that gets traction, it will impact the race even if it's not in full swing by Nov. 2020.

2. All he has to do is give another trillion dollar tax cut and that will get him thru the election.

That will be enough stimulus to stave off any recession.
