Trump Accuses Jewish Americans Who Vote Democrat Of ‘Disloyalty’
The president told reporters that Democratic Jewish Americans show “a great disloyalty,” despite 79% of them voting Democrat in the 2018 midterms.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Jewish people in the U.S. who vote for members of the Democratic Party are not loyal.

“I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or a great disloyalty,” he told reporters when speaking about Israel barring Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), two lawmakers who have been critical of the Israeli government, from entering.

Media folks: Just for a moment, stop and think what the President of the United States is saying here and elsewhere: He's branding not just the media as enemies of the people, he's identifying discrete segments of the population as disloyal to the United States. We've already seen scores of individuals who have taken this rhetoric as a call to arms, and who have taken it upon themselves to carry out the President's orders. Yes, after the fact, sometimes, Trump says that his words were not intended to spark yet another massacre. Then he goes right out and says the same thing all over again, with the same sequelae. You even had a newspaper office shot up by a deranged man activated by Trump's rhetoric. You're not immune; in fact, you and your workplace could be next. Again.

What's it going to take for the media to stand up for the country? Its citizens? Themselves?

This an outrageous comment. The idea that a president would single out a group of Americans and call them disloyal because of their voting preferences is totally unAmerican. It certainly fits the pattern with Trump and his enablers. And the comment about 'lack of knowledge' is laughable. Trump is the most ignorant, ill-informed person to ever squat in the White House.

He deserves full condemnation for this statement.
