https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/aug/24/brazilian-protesters-bolsonaro-amazon-firesAs fires burned across the Amazon and a worsening international and domestic crisis raged around Brazils far-right president, Jair Bolsonaro, protesters took to the streets of cities in Brazil and abroad. While the worlds richest countries discuss the crisis at the G7 summit more protests are planned on Sunday.
Brazilians often take part in demonstrations, but rarely over environmental issues. On Friday demonstrators blocked São Paulos main Paulista Avenue, calling for the resignation of the environment minister, Ricardo Salles, and railing against Bolsonaro and the powerful agribusiness sector that supports him. (51,627 posts)1. Farmers and loggers set the fires yet he blamed environmentalists
and refused help from other countries. Greedy, sick bastard! Koch's ghost should come back and haunt him like in "A Christmas Carol". Then he could move on and haunt all the other greedy bastards who are killing the planet...that should keep him busy throughout eternity.

Fires of mysterious origin have been used for this purpose before....
