This area is always a swing state because of the rural reds and the urban blues. I was expecting to see lots of maga crud, but didn't. There were lots of churches and lots of church channels on TV, so it was good to see them backing off of their rabid frumperism. at least in public, anyway.

(32,080 posts)Ever. Didn't see a lot of Trump yard signs here before the election, either. And, yet... Of course, it's also coming out that the Russians hacked into our electoral system, so there's that.
I don't think lack of MAGA stuff is any indication of his popularity. It's hard to say how much of it is an actual decline, how much of it was a false popularity brought to us by Russia, and how much of it is people being too embarrassed to admit they like that asshole.

By the way, Joe Biden was originally from Allentown and he still has a lot of fans in Northeastern PA.
