Zhuangzi (Chuang Tzu) and Perspectivism

A little Taoist philosophy might be useful these days in order to get a clearer and more refreshing perspective on many things. Greater understanding and clarity can be both empowering and strategic, allowing us to have more energy to regroup, reassess and engage with more wisdom and effectiveness in any struggle.

When we wander in the valley, our perspective is somewhat limited as to what is going on. However, if we set up base camp at the foot of a mountain and climb to the peak, we can then see the entire valley below.

When one is in any given system and one attempts to change that system from within, using all the patterns and methods inherit in it, that results in a tendency to merely reinforce and recirculate the nature of the system, (and its inherit defects) that you wanted to change. A viable way to change a system is to, in some way, transcend it and that would be called a meta-system. This is a way to recognize the nature of perspective as a means for discovering new vistas and ways to resolve problems.
