Dorian is apparently a Star Wars fan and is visiting Galaxy’s Edge for its first weekend.

If the landfall is a bit south of the 8 AM Monday projection, Dorian will roar across a certain private club near Palm Beach.

Trump: I'm like the second coming of God.

God: Nice club you have there in Florida, Donald. It'd be a shame if something happened to it.

Trump: I'm the greatest president in the history of the world!

God: Buh-bye!

That will give it more strength.

I'm a little bit to the west of that last "M". I expect a lot of rain if nothing else.

In my 32 years in Florida, every storm predicted to hit the east coast, with the exception of the 2 storm in 2004, have turned North.

We will see.

going up the coast.

I wish I could remember which one. The other model had it going right through Florida and into the Gulf on the other side.

I hope it just decides to give up and shuts down, but unfortunately that's not realistic. So I can only hope it hits less-populated areas and does minimal damage and everyone survives.

If Dorian gets anywhere near Mar-a-Lago or his Doral resort, I wonder how long it will take Trump to apply for disaster relief funds?

I've lived in Louisiana all my life.

There's 'TS' for Tropical Storm and 'H' for Hurrcane.

They have added this 'M' thing, which I suppose is Major, but this is BRAND new.
As we know down here, they are ALL major.
Even an un-named storm - a tropical depression - can bring 20 or more inches of rain
and result in devastating flooding....as did 'The Remnants Of Allison' so many years ago
and of course let us not forget 2016...
over and over
my husband and I have decided that Louisiana needs a new license plate

Louisiana = State of Disaster

But yeah I know what you mean.

I remember Hurricane Irma two years ago. My part of Florida was far enough removed from the center of the storm where we only got tropical storm force winds, but it was still almost an entire day of constant 40-60 mph winds. And parts of the area were out of power for several days thereafter. It wasn't nearly as impressive as Wilma in 2005 when we got a direct hit by the eye, but it was no picnic.

Water temp has been @ 87 past two weeks. Warmer than usual. Cloud cover will drop temp a bit but it’s time to check the generator!

Abnormally warm water will do that.

Remember, though, climate change is a hoax.
