The PM must "consult" with her, but she is bound to accept his decision. She has zero political power.

She can’t interfere in politics. I mean, strictly speaking she could, but she never would.

But why bother to learn another country's traditions when you can just mock and pillory them instead. (I'm not talking about you)

or anything else the Prime Minister officially requests. As a matter of practice, the Crown follows the advice of its ministers, in which the Prime Minister is lead. The Queen does this regardless of who the Prime Minister is, be it a Tory or a Labour minister. They(the Crown) does this consistently to remain apolitical. The Crown shows no favor to one Prime Minister(or Party) or the other. She grants Royal Assent regardless. Johnson is abusing this to get what he wants.

Her consent, however ceremonial, is required to disolve parliament. It's another tradition they have that we don't. We actually don't have many traditions at all tbh. The British are far more evolved than we are as a culture.

Because they lack a single unifying "constitution". They draw upon multiple documents, some of which are hundreds of years old, as well as parliamentary law and judicial case law. For the most part, this has worked for them as tradition and "gentleman's agreements" has prevented the abuse we are seeing now.

Your opinion of Britain being more evolved culturally is debatable...

We are trying to bring back a King, so maybe in the near future we can be more evolved...

It sure seems more evolved to me. But I know we Americans like to believe we're exceptional, or something.
