1. Looks like we'll spend the holiday watching news crews battered by high winds

and slashing rain by noon Monday.

I know some people in Broward. I hope they just fricken leave there asap.

2. Both sets parents lived there but no more. Mine St. Pete's/Treasure Isl.

Dad made plywood to protect sliding patio doors. They evacuated twice I think. I'm their only kiddo and I freaked every time. They never got flooded.

We do know former resident friends there and I am stressed for them.

3. That's right--holiday weekend and Labor Day. Nice.

Even tho not affected, still and all, yes, affected by a downcast and disturbed soul for those who are facing this still unknown storm.

I'm in northern broward county close to palm beach county. Although most models have the center north of Broward, it is still very nerve-racking. Especially since the path is so uncertain. We are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

I had impact windows and doors installed after Irma. Just so relieved I don’t have to scramble for help putting up shutters.
