5. I have to agree with you. An economic shock right before the election could cause a number of folks

to switch to Romney -- "what the heck, let's try something different."

Not me, but folks who haven't seen the light could easily switch. The other reasons you mention -- money, special interest, voter suppression, and perhaps worse -- would compound the problem.

This election should not even be a contest, but the Republican lies make it one.
