I watched the post-Eastwood coverate online and was thunderstruck.
Kindly Doc Maddow is one of the smartest people that has ever graced the airwaves. She is normally unflappable - not quite Cronkite unflappable, but pretty damned close. When you reduce her to the goggle-eyed sputtering of utter disbelief you have accomplished something remarkable, if not necessarily good.
I don't think she could have been more surprised and dumbfounded if the Repukes had wheeled out the cast of "Freaks" accompanied by a live performance from GWAR.
That was one for the ages.

(111,255 posts)i think the GOP is likely to top it in four years. Oh, I think they've learned their lesson about elderly celebrities, at least I hope they have post Reagan and Eastwood, but the distinct chill felt during this convention is going to explode into open warfare by 2016.
