It is not over yet, so it is not over yet! Huzzah!

They are all part of a cabal of far right mavericks and wannabe despots violently seizing control of the levers of power wherever they can, to achieve their dystopian vision of a deregulated world, where they exist above the pesky rules by which us commoners must abide, and trousering billions in ill-gotten gains.

In a warped way you must admire the audacity of these disruptors and would be destroyers of the post war liberal progressive society of the West. These would be stealers of democracy have gone someway to achieving their shattering objectives in both the UK and the US.

HOWEVER.

Parliament has just given these rabble-rousing illogical zealots a great big bloody nose.
And the USA = 2018… building up to 2020…
If opinion polls on both side of the pond are to be believed these arseholes have over played their hand. Too greedy, too violent, too extreme for the average chap and chapette.

It is not over yet, so it is not over yet! Huzzah!

"The Corporate Ideal in the Liberal State" James Weinstein. 1890 to 1925, how progressivism was tamed to serve corporate interests within liberal republican democracy (America).

Today and going forward, we may wind up with The Liberal Ideal in the Corporate State. Some personal freedoms, in other words, that largely serve a corporate if not quite fascist state. Consumerism to serve the Overlords some wags might say.

They have done severe damage to our democracy and are wholly unfit to govern. Rational Americans don’t want the rich and powerful to continually vacuum up all the resources and not be subject to any “annoying” regulations or laws, while the remainder of Americans become a permanent servant class, scrambling just to live indoors. It’s time to wise up and vote Republicans out of office, permanently.
