Metro Transit Police officers stopped the 24-year-old man -- reportedly Malike Razon Brittain of Clinton, Md. -- for fare evasion, and when he refused to comply with the issuance of a citation by not giving his identification, police placed him under arrest, MTP tweeted Friday evening.
A search following the arrest turned up two firearms: an assault rifle-pistol and a revolver, MTP said, adding that they also found crack cocaine and a prescription drug with codeine.
He was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm, two counts of possession with intent to distribute, defacing a firearm serial number, possession of a firearm while unlawfully carrying narcotic, and fare evasion.
