Article: The GOP is now hiding Trump's poll numbers from its own candidates

https://www.alternet.org/2019/09/the-gop-is-now-hiding-trumps-poll-numbers-from-its-own-candidates/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1443&recip_id=21760&list_id=2

snip of article:

President Trump’s poll numbers are so bad the Republican National Committee is hiding them from local candidates, leaving them in the dark in key must-win races.

In an extensive report on how the party has turned into the cult of Trump, ProPublica reports that critical “voter scores” — sophisticated analytics based on polling that are distributed to party committees and candidates — have disappeared since Trump’s election. The lack of data leaves Republican candidates in the dark about how their districts feel about Trump.

What a sick bastard he is.

Now if the vote is an overwhelming landslide then they can't "fix it."

They'll probably double down on praising Trump, because they don't know how unpopular he is. Not sure why they don't look at Gallup.

The GOP are ruthless.
They're not going to blow a billions of dollars on a loser.
They'll cut his throat, throw him under the bus and carry on with a younger new face representing change in Washington after the Democrats have picked their candidate.

Trump is a fool. He can't see it coming. He served their needs and the GOP do not care what happens to him as long as they retain power. They're not going to be loyal to the asshole they have propped up. They're only loyal to doing whatever they have to do to control the country. Trump represents a bigger risk to them continuing to do that so they'll put their money behind a shiny new candidate parachuted in to minimize vetting and see if the public and media buys those lies (more likely than buying another four years of Trump). The polls will tighten and they have something more worthy of investment in terms of an election and controlling the country.

It's all a game. They may well have had these ideas since before Trump got elected.
