Twitter trolls are targeting liberals

They are reading through years of tweets to find something to alert on so people get put in Twitmo. Example: Last week the Freeway Blogger was suspended:

This week Rude Pundit.

The Rude Pundit
@rudepundit
Apparently, you can get locked out of
@Twitter

for calling Ann Coulter the c-word (which apparently you can't use any longer) 7 years ago. So kudos to whichever asshole (I think that's still okay) sussed that one out.

Someone went through 7 YEARS of his posts to find one offensive post that they could alert on. This is how rightwing trolls try to silence our voices. We need more voices, more resistors, more protestors. Join Twitter. Raise your voices. But watch your back. I have been Twitmo'd twice in the past 6 months.

The point is they are scrutinizing his every word to find ammo to silence him. And they have been doing it like crazy to Democratic resisters' accounts.

For those not familiar with the term:

The “noosphere”, is a philosophical concept developed and popularized foremostly by the biogeochemist Vladimir Vernadsky. Vernadsky defined the noosphere as the planetary “sphere of reason”.[1] [2] The noosphere represents the highest stage of biospheric development, its defining factor being the development of humankind's rational activities. [3]The word derives from the Greek νόος ("mind", "reason" or "to spin the thread of the mind&quot and σφαῖρα ("sphere&quot , in lexical analogy to "atmosphere" and "biosphere".[4] The concept cannot be accredited to a single author. The founding authors Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin developed two related but starkly different concepts, the former being grounded in the geological sciences and the latter, in theology. Both conceptions of the noosphere share the common thesis that together human reason and the scientific thought has and will continue to create the next evolutionary geological layer. This geological layer is part of the evolutionary chain.[5] [6] Second generation authors, predominantly of Russian origin, have further developed the Vernadskian concept, creating the related concepts: noocenosis and noocenology.

I could take issue with that view in some ways, but only from the vantage point of Eastern philosophy. Otherwise, it is valid to me as a category and descriptor. It has its pros and cons, but it is useful to Western modes of thinking.

inappropriate language too. If not, then discrimination by Twitter.

And, what's to stop someone from using inappropriate language and then discontinuing the account, and creating a new account, doing the same thing, endless looping?

Jack the CEO was invited to the WH to hear Trump complain about bias against the MAGATs. The attacks on liberals' accounts seemed to increase after that.

like almost all politicians, and many celebrities, gives you a LOT more leeway. Sadly, the Rude Pundit does not. (Other big accounts that do not are George Conway and RVA Wonk/Caroline Orr)

You can go to see resister Tony Posnanski with his blue check mark call Trump and other Republicans the F word multiple times per day.

not the war on words. I don't give damn about the words but if I have to be "polite" to smash their ass, so be it. I'm not going to let them deflect the point toward nonsense; that's what they do best. Once the beast is dispensed with, let it rip.

if you get into an extended disagreement with the "Alternative Facts" crowd and/or use profanity, you can get hit with this new type of shadowban - people won't see your replies/tweets if they don't follow you. You need to hit "See More Replies" to view them - and, most people will not do that.

I know a TON of resistance accounts both large & small that have gotten hit with this. I can only think my Reply Deboosting Ban is due to snarky replies to Trump and a few other Republican politicians as I try to avoid arguments and profanity on Twitter.

And, I have seen MAGA types hit with this ban as well, but it affects more resisters because many tend to (like me) use sarcasm when responding to Trump and others. Other than AOC, I don't think any Democrat gets nearly as much attention as Trump.

Better than bothering since most are bots. One day, I opened all the positive posts on a Trump thread and found none were real people. Just hollow shells. Funny to see the fake people they created to prop up the BIG EGO.
