Susan Collins under fire after new Brett Kavanaugh allegations

WASHINGTON – One of Sen. Susan Collins' prominent challengers is slamming the Maine Republican for her vote in 2018 to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh following a new sexual misconduct allegation against him that surfaced over the weekend.

Sara Gideon, speaker of the Maine House of Representatives, took to Twitter to criticize Collins' decision last year and to fundraise following the new revelation. Collins, a Republican, is up for re-election in 2020.

"I’m tired of hoping that Susan Collins does the right thing when she has shown time and time again that she puts Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell ahead of Mainers," Gideon wrote in a tweet.

The New York Times published an essay Saturday evening with new information about a prior claim of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh that also included evidence supporting a previously unreported claim.

But Susan Collins and her simpering expression are just repulsive. I cannot count the number of times I've heard her heralded as some kind of 'moderate' or 'maverick.' Quite frankly she's neither, not that I would be thrilled with any lame moderates.

No, no. Instead, Susan Collins can't even tell her constituents the truth. She's just another spineless tool of that bloated, purulent and fetid thing one commonly calls the GOP. . .

And she loves the money she gets from it. And really, if actions COULD speak, what would Ms. Collins have to say about her constituents or ANY (god forbid!) poor people? "Fuck em!" But instead, she lies through her teeth with that greasy smile and makes excuses for drunk, fratboy rapists.

We're going to do our damnedest to kick Susan's ass OUT next year. I like both of the DEmocrats running for the nomination but I'm supporting Sara. Her primary opponent, Betsy Sweet, is a good lady but I don't think she can win. Of course,I would be remiss to not point out that her 2014 opponent, Shenna Bellows, is now my State Senator, a great woman and leader and, most importantly of all, my friend.

RESIST!
