12. Why do we say their complicit?

Everything about Republikkkans and con-servatives is fake. You would have to believe they care about the country, the constitution, it's citizens, life, the law, debt and deficits. We simply know in every area they are hypocrites. They only pretend to care when democrats are in office. Unfortunately, as long as I've been following politics it's always worked for them. They've always been able to make dems feckless. People love fighters even if they're dirty.

This is the last, gasping breath of the ugly, ancient white supremacy, and they'll ruin the world if they lose their privileges.

He can get someone else to take the blame and get a new running mate.

7. We can only hope. Trump's first on this hook no matter what.

But I do keep hoping Trump'll take Pence down with him, and both being legally tangled up in wrongdoing and dragged in out of malice, maybe both, seem possibilities.

I'm thinking, though, that Pence's involvement suggests there's virtually no chance Trump was attempting to extort Ukraine into corruption without babbling it to Pence. At the very least...!

They’ve taken over the local news. Mine spins everything Trump’s way. They reported this as Trump asking Ukraine to investigate the corruption of Joe Biden who made off with a Billion dollars through fraud.

The broadcasters do what they are told and few in the public have the cognitive thinking skills to see through it.

Clearly, Trump and the RepubliCons know they have no other way to win unless they cheat, lie, and steal.
We need a modern version of the Fairness Doctrine in place. People listen to/watch various media all day long--providing the perfect means to brainwash them.

we have made months of progress and picked up the pace. There cannot be a clearer incident that epitomizes what has been going on for these 2.7 years. This is textbook, case study material that cannot be explained away. Tectonic shifts are coming.

17. The last paragraph from that link makes a fine summary point:

So, after years of U.S. support to strengthen Ukraine as a potential democratic example in the former Soviet Union, that country finally has a president and a majority of members in Parliament who seem serious about tackling corruption. Is the U.S. president really sending a signal now that he will turn his back on Ukraine because its new leaders refuse an American invitation to corruption?
