Senator Dianne Feinstein laying the groundwork to sue DOJ for release of the whistleblower report

Feinstein to AG Barr: Transmit Whistleblower Report, DOJ Guidance ASAP

Sep 21 2019
Washington—Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on Friday called on Attorney General Barr to transmit the whistleblower report and any guidance provided to the Director of National Intelligence to Congress as soon as possible.

Senator Feinstein released the following statement today:

“If media reports are correct that President Trump delayed military aid appropriated by Congress in order to get Ukraine to investigate a political opponent, it’s difficult not to see that as an abuse of presidential authority, plain and simple.

“Withholding the whistleblower report that led to these allegations is also unacceptable. The president is essentially saying that Congress has no right to investigate the executive branch, which is a direct attack on the separation of powers. Oversight is a constitutional function of Congress.

“I sent a letter on Friday to Attorney General bar demanding that the whistleblower report be transmitted to Congress, which is required by law. I also requested any advice or guidance provided by the Justice Department to the Director of National Intelligence that led him to take this action.

“Covering this up will only make matters worse for this administration. I encourage them to clear this up as soon as possible.”

And the time will come where Trump will openly defy the courts too.

allowed the Vice Chair Person to write this letter? Several weeks late. So the Gang of Eight are finally doing damage control.

This is not a minor league skirmish that can be buried or denied away with obfuscations and tweets. This will be with us until this lunatic is out of office.

yesterday I saw a comment posted (within a DU article) that warned that Biden's son was not the source of the whistleblower's complaint. It was this: "Ukraine's president also got a 140 Million $ bonus for withdrawing troops from the Donbass and signing that territory over to Putin. He was elected with Russian help as well so no telling what he'll do as payback." And we did give Ukraine pres. an additional $140 million (after the $250 million.)

To me, this Donbass issue makes more whistleblower sense because Russia acquired more territory with Trump's help and our tax payer dollars.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see whether the issue is Biden's son, Donbass, or both.

Personally I don't think paying off a Putin friendly Ukrainian President to hand over Ukrainian land to Russia would do it. I don't even think paying them off to find dirt on Biden or his son, would do it.

I think its come down to having to find Trump guilty of...........

You know, I thought I could think of something quickly, but its getting harder to think of something that would be egregious enough to put a dent in any Trump cultist. I first thought of finding him mocking or disparaging Christianity or evangelicals on some hidden tape recording. But he's moved past that now and is viewed more of a "King Percy", a figure in history who did not believe in the Israelites God, but released Israeli slaves for his own reasons. Thus, evangelicals claim, he was USED by God to do His will DESPITE his non-belief.

He shot, or ordered someone shot? He and his followers admire leaders like Duarte who brags about shooting people. And they worship guns.

He diddled his own daughter? This is a party that cares nothing about sexual abuse . Roy Moore whom he at first campaigned for. The 14 or so women that have accused him of sexual assault. Kavanaugh's past.

His tax return finds that he ripped off the treasury, or that he used Russian banks to launder money? Good for him!...he found a way to protect his hard earned wealth from the big bad tax man.

I honestly do not know if there is ANYTHING anymore that would knock him so far down in poll numbers that it would be impossible for GOP cheating to overcome.

they mean nothing to this lawless administration. They'll ignore this like they ignore everything else designed to get the truth out of this villainous mal-administration.
